Alphabets Bento

Posted on: August 12, 2010

This morning I woke up with itchy rash on my face and a swollen right eye! Got the allergy immediately after lunch yesterday and I guess it was made worse from the Japanese dinner I had later. Anyway, since I was awake and knew I couldn’t get to work in such ugliness I decided to make bento! πŸ˜€

I bought these little alphabet cutters from guess..yes, earlier last month I think and have yet to use them. So this morning I made alphabet bentos! Had so much fun cutting the cheese with them. Taadaaa..

Made smoked salmon cream cheese eggy bagel and it sure was very filling. Decorated it with the alphabet cheddar cheese and had the sides of cucumber, momotaro tomato and cherries. The tomato in hubs seems quite ugly though and should have inverted it instead. Oh the alphabets! Hubs wan is so very obvious that I’m proclaiming my love through cheese and mine represents my blog name.

A little bit of history on my blog name. I was cracking my head thinking of how I can use the word bento on my blog since I started it all because of bento making but then I couldn’t think of any. And then it struck me that hmm..had always been labeled clumsy by those who really know me and since I am a beginner in bento making I sure will be clumsy making them. So hence, my blog name is Clumsyfingers!

Now I want to buy the number cutters…. πŸ˜€

I have these alpha cutters too but hardly use them! πŸ˜›
Your bagels looked so fresh!
You don’t look like having clumsy fingers… else all the alpha
cheese will be broken! I don’t quite like handling cheese coz
the wetaher here is crazy… they melt too fast!

Haha actually if you look closely the “N” is a little bit broken but I pressed them back together! I learnt somewhere from some other bento maestro site that if you are afraid that the cheese melt too fast you may freeze it just a bit! πŸ˜€
